More blogiversary stuff

I was sitting here thinking after my last post about something. (Amazing, I know.) I am going to ask you all for something. No, now wait. Come back! For my blogiversary I want to ask you a few things. (Indulge me. It IS my blogiversary, afterall!) Tell me why you come here. I mean really. I know at times you are probably asking yourself that. (Now is not the time to wonder yourself. It is time to stroke my ego let me know why you read this blog.) What are your favorite types of posts? Do I reveal too much about myself, not enough or just the right amount? More pictures? Less pictures? What pictures? Have any questions? Ask away, my friends.
Okay, the truth of the matter is that I have really tried to avoid posts about the blog. To me, that can get so boring. The whole “blog business” and “let’s talk about the blog rather than talking about whatever it was that caused me to start a blog in the first place” types of posts bore the hell outta me. (And when your own blog bores you, you are in deep trouble!)
Indulge me this once and I promise you a minimum of 90 days without talking about the blog. (Unless of course there are technical issues that you may need to know….or if something big has changed….or if I just feel like it. But those are the only times I will talk about it.)
So, in order to make this not all about me (which really, you know it is), what else happened on July 3 in history? Well, surely nothing as monumental as the beginnings of this here blog over at Blogger, but some other things did happen on this day (just now LAST year on this day. This was the most important thing!)

Newness everywhere!

Okay, so if you are reading this thank a teacher that means you found the new digs. I have moved everything over to Expression Engine and to a new server. (Yes, I do like to overachieve. Why do you ask?)
I do love EE. Okay, sure, I have horked it up more times than I can count. Okay, yes, I have alienated my friends and family working on it. Yes, long time commenters got locked out for an entire day. But, wasn’t it worth it? (Oh, and as for the comments…if you tried to comment and couldn’t, that should be fixed. Let me know if you still have problems. Just email me and let me know.
In fact, that goes for anything you find messed up here. Let me know, please. I have customized this entire blog myself. A first. No wait! I forgot to mention the way cool nifty coffee cup logo. Clint made that for me. (Thanks babe.)
I hope you like the new styling blog. Make youself at home, but please, try not to break anything. I am doing a great job of that myself.

Moving over to Expression Engine

I suppose a weekend is the best time to do a blog overhaul. Seeing as there are fewer readers on the weekends. Especially a holiday weekend. So, you may notice some changes here this weekend. I am going to be doing my best to make this as painless as possible. (Oh who am I kidding!? It is totally pain free for me! He is doing all the work!)
Nevertheless, if you notice some problems, please let me know. I am trying not to hurt the place, but I make no promises.

What do you mean I’ve been playing for 12 hours?

Today was totally wasted. Completely. Not in one of those “I did stuff but not enough” ways. More like one of those “I found a game that I got obsessed with and spent my entire day doing that” ways.
But did I learn? Nope. In fact, I want more. I have no idea even how to find more. I am a junkie now. Gimmie Gimmie. Okay, not quite that bad, but people, I got hooked.
Now, this game has probably been around since like the dawn of time (or since Al Gore invented the internet), but it was new to me, so I had a good time playing. Anyone know the game? Anyone know anymore like it? C’mon, won’t you be my game-dealer? Start pimpin’ some games my way. A girl’s gotta get her needs met.
*Warning: If the Crimson Room got you irritated and wasted your time, do not attempt this. It is similar, but with 12 levels. Yes, 12. I have friends I’ve known for years ready to kick my ass over getting them into this. (heh) You have been warned.

Is everyone seeing this okay? Wait. That is a dumb question because if you weren’t seeing this okay then you wouldn’t be able to read the question and therefore, you wouldn’t know to tell me that you couldn’t see this okay. Nevermind! Hi! *waves*
I think I am going to be brave enough for a real post later. Okay, that’s an excuse. The truth is, I am going to dinner at some friends’ house and don’t have time. But, I figure since my blog has been such a bitch lately, I can blame it on her.
So yeah, can’t post right now because the blog won’t let me.

I.C.U.

So, it seems that my site is getting better. It is still in ICU (Internet Critical Care), but I can see that quite a few of you have been able to get here. I am sorry if you feel like I have been playing hide and seek with you. (Although, it has been fun seeing if you can find me.) Thanks for your patience. I am considering refunding all of your money that you’ve paid to access the site. Stay tuned for how to get your refund. 
I am not posting anything of substance today. (What do you mean I “never post anything of substance”? I have so. Remember that one time I talked about coffee? And the time I babble-assed about soccer? And that time I talked about farting around a significant other? Hmm, come to think of it, I guess you’re right after all!)
Anyway, I will be trying to post a lot to test the site. As always, let me know if you have any problems.
Oh, Houston Tiaras…I am still in Dallas. Waaahhhh! I’ll be there for the Superbowl, though. (No, Natalie. Not THE SuperBowl itself. I should be so lucky.) Just one of the out of towners clogging up Houston traffic.

UPDATE: Buzz has allowed me to borrow his site while this trouble is being worked on. (Thanks Buzz!) Is it no wonder I am voting for this guy for president?! “Coffee for all, and a place to guest blog.” What a slogan! Buzz for Prezz

My so called horked server
Is anyone having trouble loading my site today? I mean, if you are reading this, then you must have been loading it okay this time. However, are any of you getting a 403 error every now and then when you try to come here?
My server is so horked! Comment or email me if you have noticed anything weird with this site. We are moving the site to a new server and that is causing a whole lot of trouble.

A new relationship

So it seems that my server has issues with me. A noncommiting little jerk, he is! Well, not one to stay in a relationship after it has grown as disfunctional as this one has, I have decided to cut my losses and move on to another, more productive relationship with a new server.
Oh, and this new server, well he has so much more to offer me. He is a server virgin. I will be his first!
So, if you notice any problems with posts over the next couple of days, please let me know. You know how it can be in a new relationship as you try to adjust to one another.

Happy Annivirthday to meeeee!

How could I almost forget? Today is an anniversary of sorts. Kind of. (Or is it a birthday?) Or really, does it even count? Well, I guess it does if you want to talk about half years or 6-months. Anniversaries and/or birthdays are more yearly things.
Darn nevermind.
I was going to say that today is this blog’s 6 month annivirthday. (Today’s word of the day, my friends is annivirthday. That delightful combination of an anniversary and a birthday.)
