A fairytale about how I love my Frigidaire stove top range and microwave

So let me tell you a little story about a woman who was hopeless in the kitchen but found true love with a new stove and microwave.
You see, this woman became very grumpy every day about 2 hours before dinner time because she knew she had to cook. She hated to cook. Every time she made an attempt at a good and nutritious mean, she usually burned it. Her favorite dinner was ordering Chinese food or pizza to avoid the tears– both those of her family and herself. Her stove was old, dirty and never heated up properly. Her microwave burned popcorn yet couldn’t thoroughly reheat a meal. And? That microwave didn’t even have a proper handle. This woman was sad. So very sad!
One day she was offered a chance by Mom Central and Frigidaire to test drive a new stove top range and microwave. The woman was overjoyed! Could this be the miracle she had been waiting for? Was it less of a curse than it was just very poor appliances that made her such a menace in the kitchen? She could hardly wait to meet her new friends Mr. Microwave and Mrs. Range.
My Frigidaire fairies deliver my dreams!
The day came when her magic fairies came to bring her new appliances to her. She gasped with pleasure over their beauty. A chorus of cheers went up around the house as her old appliances were sent packing and her new ones were gently placed in her kitchen. She was almost too afraid to touch them.
Before she could doubt herself, it was dinner time. That fateful time of night when she would cry or call someone to delivery nutrition for her family. That night this woman cooked. She cooked a real meal. And there was much rejoicing because Frigidaire made this process painless, easy and a joy to do.
Oh, this woman knew she would never look back on her cursed cooking life again. Not when she had her new loves in her kitchen: Mr. Microwave and Mrs. Range. There was much rejoicing in her home as her family began to get used to smelling non-burned food and nutritional goodness coming from their kitchen.
And this woman? This woman who hated cooking so much? She is still–months later– madly in love with her Frigidaire Range and Microwave.
So let’s talk about my new Frigidaire Range and Microwave!

So beautiful it makes me want to be a better woman...I mean cook!
Can I just tell you how much I am in love with my new range and microwave? I know that people who know me are shocked….totally shocked to hear that I care even a little bit about anything that has to do with cooking. Why? Well, it may have something to do with the fact that I am a horrible cook. Not bad. Not a little un-gourmet. But terrible. In fact, the stories of my cooking were so infamous, I actually received a phone call from an Oprah producer to verify the facts of my kitchen disasters.
But along comes my brand new range and microwave and my inner Julia Childs is being born. I mean, just look at this gorgeous set that now resides in my kitchen. Who wouldn’t fall in love with these? You would have to be a fool to not see how these can change someone’s entire attitude. But let’s pretend they are not gorgeous. (Even though they absolutely are!) And let’s put aside the fact that they are so beautiful I want to redecorate my entire kitchen around them. (Because I do!) Look at these time saving features:

For me and my family, that is a blessing!
I will even invite you over for dinner one night. Just call ahead because my new Frigidaire range and microwave did not come with a house cleaner. BUT, now I have more time to clean since I am spending less time worrying about what to cook, how to cook it and whether or not I will mess it up. Frigidaire makes it too easy to worry!

Brandon loves the new range. Baking his own cake!
Now that we are back in the swing of school I have to admit something. I am exhausted! Between PTA, school schedules, picking up 3 kids at 3 different schools the last thing I want to do at the end of the day is cook. That is why I am totally loving my Frigidaire range. It is so easy. Whether I want to just throw in my (not quite) 200 chicken nuggets, a pizza or go all out and cook a meal, this new oven makes life so easy! In fact, I even have my kids helping me cook.
Yesterday my oldest son turned 16. Rather than buy him a cake at the store, I wanted to give him a home baked one. When he saw me getting everything ready, HE decided that he wanted to bake his own cake. Now, let me tell you this. That was a first. I have never had any of my kids want to bake, cook or have anything to do with my kitchen. In fact, with the ease of clean-up, he even made sure the stove top stayed pristine clean. If for no other reason than that I have dubbed my new range and microwave my favorite miracle machines in my home

When I first heard about the features of my new Frigidaire range and microwave, one feature really stood out for me. In fact, it made me downright giddy to think about. One of their bragging points include:
With True Convection, you can easily and evenly bake 200 kid-approved chicken nuggets in 10 minutes flat.
With True Convection, you can easily bake 200 chicken nuggets in 10 minutes!
Did you read that? 200. Kid Approved. Chicken Nuggets. How cool is that? Now, quite honestly, I have no idea under what circumstances anyone would need to cook 200 chicken nuggets in 10 minutes. From a gaggle of hungry kids, to chicken nugget eating happy kids in a mere 10 minutes. I don’t care who you are, that is come cool technology there!
So of course, like a kid with a new toy I was constantly asking if we could fix 200 chicken nuggets every night since our beautiful range was installed. Each time I was met with an eye roll as my husband was enjoying cooking gourmet meals with our new convection oven feature. (And using the “Keep Warm” feature to not be frustrated when our kids staggered in at all different times to eat.)
Finally, the night came when Clint was not home to cook for his family. Guess what! Chicken nugget night!
Guess what I forgot to do? Use the chicken nugget button. I was so upset. I was looking forward to it for a month and then missed my chance. (For the record- I cooked chicken nuggets the very next night and baby, I definitely used my chicken nugget button. Alas, I could not find 200 chicken nuggets to cook so I only cooked enough for my own kids.)

So before I show you how much I love my new range and microwave, let me show you what I have been working with for well over a decade.
Now, if you had to deal with that wouldn’t you want to kiss someone right on the mouth if you were offered a new microwave and stove top range to test drive? I certainly did!
It may sound a bit unorthodox to say that I fell in love with a Frigidaire stove top range and microwave but after what you just saw, can you blame me? I mean COME ON! Look at what graced my home and tell me you would not feel the same way.
But they are more than just pretty, they are practical, easy to use and so inspirational in the kitchen. I want to cook. Okay, so maybe the desire is for the one touch chicken nuggets and popcorn is driving me on, but regardless of what caused me to fall in love, the fact of the matter is I am learning to cook as if I was never a cooking disaster. I am enjoying my kitchen. I am loving cooking for my family again. That is a beautiful thing for me.
And when I do have those kitchen disasters, they are so easy to clean up. Easy to clean. Those are three words I love! Just check it out!
