Senioritis

March 2, 2004

I have senioritis really bad! Remember senioritis? When you were in school and it was the beginning of Spring Break and you were sick of school and schedules and work? When you were just ready top move on and get out of there? When you knew that you’ve gotten all you were going to get out of where you were and were oh-so over it? Yep. I’ve got that.

“But wait!” you must be saying, “You aren’t in school (yet).” No. I am not in school again, but my kidlets are. And trust me when I tell you, I am over it. I don’t give a diddly-squat about all of it. I am ready to move. Ready to leave. Who is this hurting benefitting? Why, my children of course.

Kidlet Sr. has had a cold for 2 days. A cold that I would have usually sent him onto school with usually. But no. Remember that whole “I don’t give a diddly-squat” thing? Yeah. He has been home with me watching videos and playing video games. He is living it up. And me?

I don’t give a diddly-squat.

(So, is there a cure for this or do my kids get to live it up for a while longer?)
